Beginning in 2008, The GLBT Alumni Society has a series of travel grants available for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who are traveling related to the OSU experience as well as service and learning in the GLBT community. Examples of eligible travel include:
- Travel to state or national leadership or service conferences for GLBT organizations such as the Creating Change Conference, HRC Leadership Training, Healing Weekends and GLBT fraternity conferences.
- Travel to academic conferences to present research papers, seminars, or posters related to GLBT academic research.
- Study abroad programs focused on the GLBT experience in other countries.
- Service-learning opportunities that are GLBT based such as alternative spring breaks.
Grants will cover up to half of an individuals travel expenses (up to $500). The application process is open throughout the year but we recommend applying at least one month in advance of your travel dates.
