Application Requirements
Each scholarship application must include the following information:
- A resume outlining your student involvement, leadership expriences,
volunteer efforts, research and/or work experience.
- An explanation of your specific, short-term educational goals as
well as your long-term career goals and interests. After
graduation, how do you see yourself contributing to the GLBT community
where you are living?
- Two essays from the following questions:
- Please describe the extracurricular, community, school,
activism, work activities and/or personal experience(s) of which you
are most proud. How do they reflect your passions?
Please talk about times you took initiative and/or a major
leadership role.
- What is one of the biggest challenges you have faced? How
did you handle it?
- How have you advocated for the rights of and acceptance of the
GLBT community?
- These scholarships promote education to strengthen leadership in
and for the GLBT communities. Explain how this goal will be
promoted if you receive a scholarship.
- After graduation, how do you see yourself contributing to the
GLBT community where you are living?
- The following essays are for specific scholarships and are in
addition to the two essays required above:
- If applying for the scholarship based on financial need, please
provide additional information regarding your financial need.
- If applying for the scholarship for those with HIV/AIDS and for
work in the HIV/AIDS fields, please describe your services to,
contributions to, or activities in the HIV/AIDS community.
