Scholarship Information


The Ohio State University Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Alumni Society's Scholarship Committee welcomes applications from students who meet the following requirements:

  • The student is currently enrolled at The Ohio State University or has been accepted and plans to enroll.  Scholarships are only available for study at The Ohio State University.
  • High school students or transfer students must be admitted to the University before applying.
  • Currently enrolled students must have a cumulative GPA of no less than a 2.5.
  • Scholarships are only available to undergraduate students.
  • All applications must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation.

Scholarship Descriptions

The Eric Kohring - PFLAG Scholarship

This scholarship is dedicated to students who have made contributions to the GLBT community through leadership, service, volunteering or researsh.

The Harold A. McIntosh Scholarship for GLBT Students

Three scholarships are available to GLBT students who have been active student leaders including providing leadership and service to the GLBT community.  One of the three scholarships is dedicated to students with special financial need.  The second scholarship is dedicated to first year students (either freshman or transfer students.)  The third is unrestricted.

The Harold A. McIntosh Scholarship for service to the HIV/AIDS community

This scholarship is dedicated to students who provide leadership and service within the HIV and AIDS community.  Students with research in the field of HIV/AIDS are also eligible for this scholarship.

The Harold A. McIntosh Scholarship for students living with HIV/AIDS

This scholarship is dedicated to students living with HIV/AIDS.

The Mark Moffett, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is dedicated to students who have made contributions to the GLBT community through leadership, service, and volunteering and are majoring in music.
