The Ohio State University Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) Alumni Society's mission is to promote the best interests of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender alumni and students of The Ohio State University. The Society sponsors a scholarship program, social events for students and alumni and collaborates with community organizations regularly to promote awareness and education of GLBT issues.

All gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender former students of The Ohio State University and other former students who are allies of the GLBT community and who have completed at least 15 credit hours of coursework at The Ohio State University are eligible for membership in the Society.

The society is governed by a ten person Board of Governors who chair the following committees: Advocacy, Communications, Finance, Membership, Programs and Scholarship.
